“Maison de Bœuf is an absolute gem! The food was outstanding—every dish was perfect. The onion soup was rich and flavorful, the steak was cooked to perfection, and dessert was just as incredible. The service was just as impressive, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A special shoutout to Julian, who was exceptionally kind and attentive, making the experience even better. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Highly recommended.”

“Decided to treat myself and have escargot and steak. Loved the atmosphere made all the more real by the French family that followed me in. Fifth time I've had escargot (4 times in Wales including at home and once in England) enjoyed them very much, the steak was melt in the mouth. I'm not a wine connoisseur, found it pleasant, and the french coffee was delicious. Really enjoyed myself and hope to go back soon”

“Obsessed! I love this place. The restaurant is in the beautiful arcade. The interior is lovely, really traditional, cosy, fab lighting and feel very authentic Parisian bistro vibes. Service was really lovely. The menu is a fixed prix, and very small. 3 starters, two mains (only really offer steak and chips) and 3 puds, but as long as you know that it’s a case of what they do, they do exceptionally well. I had escargot, and they were really good, not to earthy or grassy, plump and teeming with garlic herb butter! Main was fab, steak rare was more perfect medium rare, just how I like it. Fries were fantastic and serve with small green salad and a lovely home secrete sauce (defiantly some mustard and anchovies in there). A wonderful surprise was a top up of steak and offer if more fires half way through!!! I was too stuffed for pudding which was a shame. Cocktails were excellent, and a really good wine list. Small criticisms… the baguette with the starter was very average, the plate for the main was too small to really be able to eat the salad off of as well, and a few more options for wine by the glass would be great. But none of that detracted from this wonderful dining experience. Due to menu range not somewhere I would eat at repeatedly in quick succession, but as a non local next time I’m in Cardiff I be coming back for sure!”

“Came here for a 40th birthday meal last week. Very nice cosy restaurant. Food was very nice. The menu is limited almost a set menu. I had the French onion soup for starters, first time I've it. Was very nice. The steak was cooked perfectly can't fault that. I had the pastry dessert, it was stunning. The wine we had was nice but very overpriced in my opinion. More than twice the price compared to a supermarket. Would be nice if we could of ordered extra bread but there was no option. Staff were very friendly and helpful.”

Plus you get seconds of the steak and chips which is amazing!”
